The EU has imposed two core compliance thresholds.
1. Environmental standards (formaldehyde)
EU E1 standard (EN 312), formaldehyde emission of the board ≤ 0.124mg/m³; high-end boutique hotels require higher CARB P2 level water-based paint furniture, solvent-based PU paint is prohibited for large-scale shipment.
Soft decoration fabrics are regulated by REACH regulations, prohibited use of azo dyes and leather with excessive heavy metals.
2. Mandatory standards for flame retardancy of upholstered furniture
EU general: EN 1021-1, EN 1021-2 (flame test for sofa and dining chair soft coverings)
UK region: separately execute BS 5852 flame retardant test, furniture in hotel public areas must be accompanied by a certificate, without a certificate, it is impossible to clear customs and pass local fire inspection.

CE Marking Usage Specifications
Hotel complete sets of furniture do not require CE certification for the entire unit, but the accompanying hardware, air pressure rods for elevating chairs, electric intelligent bed frames and other components that are electric or bearing pressure must be certified separately by CE. Chairs with air pressure rods for steel legs without CE certification will be deducted from the storage quota.

European mandatory safety standards for hotel structures
1. The corners of the furniture in children's family hotels must be rounded with a radius of at least 5mm, and sharp right angles are prohibited.
2. High cabinets (such as wardrobes and TV cabinets with a height of more than 1200mm) must be equipped with anti-toppling connecting parts. The European building regulations mandate that the wall-mounted fixing accessories come with the product.
3. There are clear mechanical test standards for the load-bearing capacity of dining tables and chairs. The rated load-bearing capacity of a single-person dining chair must not be less than 110kg.

Style adaptation
Western Europe (Germany, France, the Netherlands) prefers minimalist, Italian-style light luxury, and suspended low-profile guest room furniture; Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal) prefers retro solid wood aged models; Northern European hotels feature large areas of light-colored oak and custom furniture in a rustic wood style.
