Guangdong Dugao Delivers Integrated Millwork & FF&E for InterContinental Hotel Supporting APEC 2026, Shenzhen
SHENZHEN, CHINA – October 21, 2026 – Guangdong Dugao Furniture has completed a full millwork and FF&E supply package for the InterContinental Shenzhen International Exchange Center, the key supporting hotel for APEC 2026. The project was awarded to Dugao for its ability to deliver fixed millwork and loose furniture from one single supplier, eliminating common risks including colour variance, misaligned finishing and fragmented site coordination.
Classified as a flagship luxury hotel within a large-scale conference complex, the property follows strict InterContinental brand specifications. The project carried demanding requirements for structural stability, indoor air quality, fine finishing and a compressed delivery timeline, far above standard commercial hotel projects. After formal tender reviews, sample testing and factory audits by the owner and IHG management team, Dugao was selected as the exclusive integrated FF&E & millwork vendor.
The scope covers all core hotel zones: grand lobby, guestrooms, executive lounge, ballrooms, public corridors and VIP meeting suites. Millwork scope includes custom veneered wall panels, built-in wardrobes, feature wall cladding, door frames, skirting and fixed service cabinetry. The FF&E scope consists of bed frames, writing desks, lounge seating, restaurant chairs, banquet chairs, negotiation tables and public accent furniture. Dugao's in-house technical team worked alongside the interior design firm to produce detailed shop drawings. All items were engineered for ergonomic comfort, long-term durability and simple on-site maintenance, with a restrained design language suitable for high-level diplomatic and business receptions.
All selected materials meet international indoor air quality requirements, with strict controls on formaldehyde and VOC emissions. Stable veneer species, premium coating systems, metal, stone and upholstery materials were sourced and finished to match IHG's global performance benchmarks. Production runs at Dugao's 50,000 m² CNC-equipped manufacturing facility in Foshan, with multi-stage inline QC and pre-shipment full inspection.
Given overlapping trades and a non-negotiable completion schedule ahead of the summit, Dugao set up a dedicated project team to manage production, export packing, logistics, phased installation and full on-site finish protection. Zoned rollout helped avoid disruption to other works, and the full package passed final acceptance with positive feedback from the client and hotel management.
